Ride the urge. It always passes.

A craving lasts about 15–20 minutes. You don't have to beat it — you have to outlast it.

Craving duration: American Thoracic Society

$9.99/month or $49.99/year — cancel any time. Quitlines and crisis support are always free.

Every number in this app either links to its published source, or shows you its math.

The precise-sounding figures you find on quit-vaping blogs — “nerve endings regrow at 48 hours”, exact dopamine percentages — are not published by the CDC, the American Cancer Society or the NCI. We don't show them, because we can't source them. What you get instead: a recovery timeline where every step links to the research, and savings figures that show the arithmetic that produced them.

What's inside

  • A quit plan built from your own answers
  • Ride the Wave — the craving timer, one tap from anywhere
  • Daily check-ins, streaks, and total clean days that never reset
  • The slip-cost panel: what one vape actually costs, in your numbers
  • Your craving pattern heatmap — when urges really hit
  • The sourced recovery timeline, with every claim linked
  • Achievements, and a private record only you can see

Use the free programmes as well. Genuinely.

1-800-QUIT-NOW and This is Quitting are free, staffed or trial-tested, and better evidenced than any app — including this one. We put them in front of you rather than burying them, and we'd rather you used one alongside Clear Puff than picked between them.

What they don't give you is a plan built from your own usage, the arithmetic of what one slip costs, a heatmap of when your cravings actually land, a sourced timeline of what changes and when, and a private record of every day you logged. That's what you're paying us for.

What Clear Puff is not

  • Not medication. It's behavioral support — which carries a relative risk of about 1.76 for quitting versus going it alone, while behavioral support plus medication does better at about 1.83.

  • Not therapy, and not a clinician. If nicotine replacement or a prescription might be right for you, that's a conversation with a doctor or pharmacist.

  • Not a replacement for a quitline. 1-800-QUIT-NOW is free, staffed by trained coaches, and we put it in front of you rather than burying it.

  • Not a shame machine. No countdown timers, no fake urgency, no dependency score, no wilting plant when you slip.

Questions

Is this medical advice?

No. Clear Puff is behavioural support — not therapy, not a clinician, not medication. If nicotine replacement or a prescription might be right for you, that's a conversation with a doctor or pharmacist.

Does anything actually work for vaping specifically?

Yes, and we'd rather tell you what it is. Text programmes have the strongest trial evidence for vaping in particular: in a randomised trial of young adults using This is Quitting, 7-month abstinence was 24.1% versus 18.6% for control. Use it alongside Clear Puff — it's free.

What happens to my data?

It lives in this app's database, protected per-user. It's never sold, never shared with advertisers or data brokers, and there are no analytics trackers or ad pixels. Deleting your account removes everything permanently — no archive, no soft delete — and cancels billing first.

How do I cancel?

Settings → Billing → Manage billing opens a self-serve portal. Cancellation takes effect immediately and stops all future charges; you keep access through the period you've paid for. No phone call, no email, no retention offers.

What if I slip?

You log it, and nothing bad happens. There's no shame mechanic here — no wilting plant, no dependency score, no reset-to-zero. Your total clean days and best streak don't reset, because one episode is one episode.

Can I get a refund?

No — payments aren't refunded, and we'd rather say so plainly than bury it. What you can do any time is cancel: it stops every future charge immediately, and you keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for. If you were charged in error or something went wrong on our side, that's our mistake and we'll put it right.
